Where We Stand

The Win With Women PAC (WWW) was founded to elect progressive Democratic women identifying candidates to office. Our focus is endorsing women running for the Washington State Legislature. WWW has also endorsed Congressional candidates, candidates running for statewide office, and county council and commission candidates as part of our county council and commission pilot program.

WWW has brought together women leaders from different backgrounds to support credible and strong progressive women candidates who will help increase representation of women in the Legislature and in leadership positions.

The fundamental principles on which we stand include:

  • Access to affordable, quality health care for all people, with the full spectrum of reproductive health care options, behavioral health, contraception, maternal health care, and abortion.
  • Workers’ rights are women’s rights. Pay equity, paid sick and family leave, access to all employment and leadership positions, and policies that advance equal opportunities, wages, and benefits are critically important for women workers. We also support policies to help ensure workplaces are safe from sexual harassment, the right to organize and bargain collectively, and an end to hiring and employment discrimination and sexual trafficking.
  • Public education is fundamental to democracy. All children should have access to high quality, accessible, adequately funded early learning, K-12 and higher education. A high-quality and accessible comprehensive education system will build both a stronger democracy and equitable economic opportunity for all.
  • Environmental health and justice is essential for our wellbeing and that of the planet. We support policies to help ensure the effects of climate change are mitigated and reversed, communities and families are free of toxins; environmental standards are enforced that protect our land, air and water; investments are made to ensure a just transition to a green economy; and our parks and wilderness are accessible and protected for generations to come.
  • Sustainable and equitable communities are critical to ensure a strong safety net for children and vulnerable adults and we need policies that increase opportunities and eliminate discrimination and exploitation.
  • Dismantle systemic and institutional racism. Listen to, center, and work with Black, Indigenous and people of color leaders and communities to eliminate racism in our public institutions and create equitable laws and policies that serve all of us. Be bold in pushing for anti-racism and substantive change in every aspect of public policy including (but not limited to) law enforcement, incarceration, housing, employment, health care, education and access to wealth building. Use the power of our combined voices to speak out for justice.

The Win With Women PAC is dedicated to the advancement of progressive women identifying candidates into political office and leadership positions. We are alarmed by the paucity of progressive women in elected office, especially women of color, and are determined to reverse this trend. We are excited that our work has helped to increase the numbers of progressive women in elected office and are committed to continue to advance equitable representation for all people identifying as women, particularly Black, Indigenous and women of color.
